al khaliji Donates to Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs

Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) P.Q.S.C, Qatar’s next generation bank, has recently made a donation to Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs, a local humanitarian organization that aims to support and develop the skills and capabilities of people with disabilities.
The donation was handed over in the presence of Mr Hamad Al Kubaisi, Group Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer at al khaliji, and Mr Taleb Abdullah Afifah, Board Member at the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr Hamad Al Kubaisi, Group Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer at al khaliji, said:
“Al khaliji’s initiative comes in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and its commitment towards good citizenship. It’s part of al khaliji’s strategic objectives to extend helping hand to charity organizations such as the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs. We are very proud to support and work closely with this esteemed organization, to promote non-discrimination and inclusive growth”.
Mr Taleb Abdullah Afifah, member of the Board of Directors of the foundation, expressed the appreciation of HE Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the board of directors, to al khaliji and the management for their cooperation with the society to sponsor noble causes. He highlighted that the targeted audience of the population will enormously benefit from this donation and will definitely improve health conditions.
He said the cooperation between the Association and al khaliji continues in the best interest of disabled people and the donation from the bank will be used to purchase medical equipment such as- electric wheelchairs, electric medical beds, wheelchairs with special specifications for persons with severe movement disabilities, eyeglasses, hearing aids, computer devices for people with visual impairments and other related devices.
Al khaliji’s gesture came as part of the bank’s continuous efforts to support the community it serves while committing to its multi-faceted CSR, which contributes to the achievement of the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and its emphasis on human and social development. The bank consistently demonstrates its promise to community development in Qatar, and will continue supporting initiatives and programs that raise public awareness of important social issues.
