India Adds Qatar to e-Visa List

Having decided to come to Qatar, you need to check which visa best suits you. There are different types of visas, and each depends on the purpose of your visit:
Tourist Visa:
The tourist visa is granted to tourists through authorized hotels and travel agencies. It is also granted to relatives and in-laws of sponsoring residents by means of Qatar Airways. This visa is valid for one month, and it is non-extendable.
As for the joint tourist visa, issued on arrival at Hamad International Airport (HIA) or online prior to arrival, it allows citizens of 38 countries to travel freely between Qatar and Oman with no access to a third country during the period of stay. This visa is valid for one month and can be extended for another month.
Work Visit Visas:
There are different types of work visit visas depending on the purpose of your visit, the entity you are visiting, what you profession is and how long you need to stay in Qatar.
For instance, you can get a businessmen visa if you are invited by a trading or investment company, yet this one-month visa is non-extendable, or you can get a 72-hour business visa on arrival, but you have to present a document proving you are a businessman.
Family Visit Visa:
The family visit visa is granted to first degree relatives of residents sponsoring them. It is valid for one month and can be extended for five more months. In case of extension, however, a visit to the Medical Commission is required to pass a medical examination.
